New Life Updates and Hello Bee Bee
Sorry it's taken me so long to update this journal. Life has been absolutely crazy here. A couple days after my 23rd Birthday, I got in a pretty bad car accident. An idiot names Daryl V. Holliday, Jr. from Glenville NY decided to make an illegal u-turn without looking at who was coming. In a desperate attempt to swerve my car and save his life, my car was totalled. His car, of course had minimal damage. Thus, we must have a brief moment of silence at this point for Big Bertha, my '95 Ford Taurus may she rest in peace in wonderful car heaven.

[MOMENT OF SILENCE]

Well, his insurance assumed complete liability and paid me the mere $2250 my car was worth (they seem to not take into consideration the psychological value of this car to me!).

Anyway, I've got a new beautiful car... A 2002 Chevy Malibu. Color: Spitfire Red, but I think it looks more like a garnet. It's so nice and drives so well. Her innitials are the same as Big Bertha... B.B. I've named her Bee Bee which derives from my favorite drink made with Malibu... Malibu Bay Breeze. I may also call her Breezer... Time will tell.

Back
I had a great time at home this weekend. Friday night Tony and I went to his cousin's for a Luau party which was very fun and very alcohol induced and Saturday morning I drove home (hangover and all) to see my parents. We went to see "Urinetown" the musical which was awesome and then out for dinner in the city. After that we went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and had a drink at the bar on their rooftop sculpture garden. It was absolutely beautiful. Sunday morning my mom took me to get my nails done and we went to Dagan's (my brother in law's) brother's wedding, which was absolutely beautiful and lots of fun... I'm back up here and back to work, but it was a nice diversion for the weekend nevertheless.
My birthday's on Wednesday... I'm turning 23... how depressing... I remember when birthdays used to be so exciting and you used to get all these new privelidges... permits, licences, ability to purchase tobacco and porn, voting, drinking.... now it's just like "you're one more year older... and have accumulated one more year of debt from school ... wooo hoooo..." That sucks, eh?

Workin' Hard
I'm setting up this journal to have all catch up on my life. Since college, it's hard to stay in touch with everyone all the time, but maybe at least this is a way to keep you guys posted.
Wow. I never realized how difficult and boring doing someone else's research is for the summer. I'm workin' for Professor Fox and although he's great to work for I don't have much drive. Oh well... Maybe it's the summer too. I really just want to be lazy and not think about anythin. What can I do?
Other than that, things are going great. Life's been pretty smooth. My parents came up last weekend and went with Tony and I to Countryfest and we all went to Toga Town on Sunday. When they left we went to Tony's parents for dinner. They're so laid back and we had a great time sitting outside and relaxing.
I got this great book at the mall with Sam the other day: "All about us"... it's one of those fillin the blank get to know yourself and your partner better that gets to the root of some pretty interesting issues. I HIGHLY HIGHLY reccommend it, but don't take anything you find out too personally. I'm gonna go now. Thanks for reading. Sorry if it was boring, but so is my life!
